Hurricane Gear Guide

Are you ready for Hurricane Season?  The Scout Motto is BE PREPARED which means you are always in a state of readiness.  A hurricane can disrupt communications, water, and transportation. Grocery stores, gas stations, ATMs, banks, and other services you may need will remain closed without power.  After a hurricane strikes it will take time for local, state, and federal government authorities to respond.  The best advice is to be better prepared before disaster hits.

One month after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico in 2017, approximately 1 million people were without running water and 3 million without power.  Would you be ready to survive this long?

We have researched the latest technology to find the best gear to help you be better prepared and to survive the aftermath of a hurricane in as much comfort as possible.
